Back!
In a peculiar turn of events, my novel’s titular character finds himself on the book’s back cover! This is fitting for more reasons than one.
It was important I did the cover justice. Not just for myself, but for anyone who so much as even picks the book up.
So, I enlisted some help. I came across Draftsman’s art on instagram earlier into the year than I can remember. He was an instant follow. Months later, I draft my first sketch of my novel’s titular character. At the least, I think I captured his geist.
I knew my… talents for illustration weren’t what they needed to be for Endless to really come through to anyone but my close ones. And so, when Draftsman popped back up on my feed, it was a message that I could either let Endless remain a sketch in my notepad, or become the concept I know him to be.
It was a fun journey coming up with his outfit, texture and pose. Draftsman, the South-African genius he is, took those ideas and sent them to the stratosphere.
Enjoy seeing our iterative process for the back-cover yourself! As for where Endless is; well, you’ll just have to pick up a copy when the time comes!
I can’t wait until you see our front-cover in all its might.
Totsiens,
Yugo
